Features
Tree manager enables you to view, create or modify any section, category, content within a couple of seconds. The first thing you see when you open the component is the content-tree on the left side of the screen. The navigation to the tree manager is Components > Tree Manager > Tree Manager. It is generated automatically and has the structure section->category-> content.

The description of any item is loaded on the right side of the screen on the mouse-click of content’s, category’s, section’s icon.

On the mouse click of the element’s name you’ll proceed to its editing page. After you have saved or closed the page you’ll get back and see the element in the tree already.
Creating Tree Items
There are three icons on top of the page that allow to create any type of content. You can perform the various actions by using the following icons:

Icon Name Description
Image New Content Allows user to create a new Content item
Image New Category Allows user to create a new Category
Image New Section Allows user to create a new Section

When creating new tree-nodes, you’ll be offered to fill the standard fields with specifications for each item. For instance, when creating a section, the obligatory fields are the name of the section, the title; the optional are the image, image position, access level, published mode and the description of the item.
Likewise, when you create a category, the mandatory fields are the name and the title; therewith you are required to select a section, where the newly created category will be placed.
Finally, if the newly created item is content, you have to specify its path selecting a section and a category out of the drop-down lists; beside’s the content’s title the required field is the Intro Text; the Main Text is optional.
After making all the necessary entries you can click either Save icon ( Image) to save changes and go back, Apply icon ( Image) to save changes and stay on the same page or Close (Image ) to discard changes.
Moving Tree Items
By right-clicking on any content or category you can move it to another tree element without requiring to cut and paste them. When dragging and dropping, hold the mouse button while you drag the item to the correct place. But there is a number of certain logic restrictions. For instance, a section cannot contain another section, as well as a section cannot contain a content-item (what is meant is a content-item outside the category). Here is the complete list of restrictions:
1. A category cannot contain a category;
2. A category cannot contain a section (sections cannot be moved at all);
3. A section cannot contain a section;
4. A section cannot contain a content-item (a content-item is attached to a section);
5. A content-item cannot contain a content-item.

Content Manager
After you have built a tree in the component’s menu, as you wish, you may as well see all the generated items in the Content section. To do that navigate to Content > All Content Items, where all the items will be displayed irrespective to section or category.
In the top menu of the screen you will see three drop-down menus, where you may choose a section, a category in the section, and the author of the item. The page will be automatically renewed corresponding to your choice, and you will see the filtered items only.
In addition, the page is provided with pagination for better usability and allows to move to the next page, previous page, to the start and to the end of it. It is possible as well to filter the items of the list in the Display# field by choosing a number of entries that should be displayed on the page.
